LMSD Average ACT Scores Among PA's Best
See where it ranked compared to neighboring high schools.

ARDMORE, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Education recently released its list of 2016 ACT scores for public high schools in the state. While some schools are cheering, others are probably figuring out what they can do to improve the scored. The two high schools in the Lower Merion School District are definitely cheering.
According to data from the department, Lower Merion and Harriton high schools has an average ACT score of 27, putting at nearly the top of the list and among some prestigious area schools
One hundred fort Harriton students and 142 Lower Merion students at the school took the test in 2016. Both schools earned an average score of 28 in both English and reading, and an 8 in writing. Harriton averaged 26 and Lower Merion 27 in math. Lower Merion had an average 26 in science, while Harriton had a 27.

Nearby Radnor High School also earned an average earn a 27 and Conestoga High School earned a 26.
Haverford High School clocked in with a 24 average.

Julia R. Masterman School earned the highest average ACT score with 30 and Roxborough High School had the lowest in PA with 13.
The ACT is scored from of a low of 1 to a top score of 36 and are the average of sectional scores in English, math, reading and science.
The average ACT score in Pennsylvania is 20.8.
