LMSD Has Area's 2nd Highest Median Income: Report
The Philadelphia Business Journal recently examined median home prices and median household incomes of the area's school districts.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Expensive homes and high incomes are quite prevalent in the Philadelphia suburbs, especially the Main Line area.
According to a new report from the Philadelphia Business Journal, the Lower Merion School District has the second highest median household income sand the third highest median home prices of Philly-area districts.
The publication recently drafted a list of the districts' median household incomes and median home prices.

As for the Lower Merion School District, its median income of $128,410 makes it the second highest in the region. Additionally, the median home value of $578,000 makes it the third highest regionally.
These ranks were created based on the recent U.S. Census data for school districts across the state.

Four districts in Pennsylvania had median home values exceeding $500,000, all of which are in the Philadelphia region.
Radnor Township School District has the state's highest median home value, at $651,600, and the eighth highest household income with $114,063.
The Tredyffrin-Easttown School District has the highest median income, which is $133,983.
