Residents should not leave valuables in their vehicles at the end of the day to deter thieves, and — if a break in occurs — not to suffer any losses. Valuables that must be kept in vehicles should be stored in the trunk or out of sight.

Additionally, police are urging residents not to leave keys in their vehicles no matter where they are parked.
