Lower Merion To Be Sprayed for West Nile Virus Control

Health officials will spray Lower Merion Township to help control the spread of mosquito-borne West Nile Virus.

LOWER MERION, PA — Lower Merion Township will be sprayed to help reduce the mosquito population and combat the spread of West Nile Virus, the Montgomery County Health Department announced Tuesday.

The spraying will be done on Thursday, August 11 from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., officials said.

The truck-mounted sprayer will dispense adulticide. A rain date has been set for August 18.

The spraying will be entirely contained to Ashbridge Memorial Park.
