Lower Merion Cop Honored For Talking Down Suicidal Teen
Lower Merion Police Officer Matthew Freind saved a teen's life. Thank you and congratulations, Ofc. Freind!

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – A Lower Merion Township Police Department officer received a commendation from Montgomery County officials for his work to save a teen's life.
Officer Matthew Freind was commended by Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele for safely talking down a suicidal teenager.
Freind brought a safe resolution to an incident when a teenager was threatening to commit suicide while on the roof of his family's home.

Steele also commended 35 other law enforcement officers and civilians, five agencies, and two retiring police chiefs with commendations Thursday, May 10 at the Montgomery County Public Safety Training Campus for their extraordinary efforts and exemplary work in protecting and serving the residents of Montgomery County.
