Lower Merion Dental Business Collects Candy For Troops

LOWER MERION, PA – The dentists and team members at Dental Solutions in Bala Cynwyd are giving the troops serving overseas a reason to smile.

For the fourth year in a row, team members are collecting candy as part of Operation Gratitude.

From now through November 9, 2016, residents can drop off chocolate and candy at the Dental Solutions office located at 187 West City Avenue and the office team will donate it to the troops, according to a press release.

Last year, Dental Solutions and affiliated dental practices collected 3,583 pounds of candy. Altogether, they’ve donated almost 8,000 pounds of candy since the offices began participating in Operation Gratitude in 2013, spokespersons said.

Dental Solutions encourages Girl Scout troops, Boy Scout troops, church groups, school groups, and other community organizations to collect candy and bring it to one of its affiliated practices for shipment. Dental Solutions, Garden State Dental, Baystate Dental, Family Dental Group, Dental Associates of Northern Virginia and Gentle Dental are just some of the offices participating this year.
