Lower Merion Fords Closed Due To Rainy Forecast

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Lower Merion Township said Wednesday, Oct. 13 that due to wet weather in the forecast its two fords are closed.

The Mill Creek fords at Old Gulph and Righters Mill roads have been closed, according to the township.

The fords will remain closed until further notice, the township said.

According to the National Weather Service, nearly half of all flash flood deaths are vehicle related and the national 30-year average for flood deaths is 127.
