Lower Merion Grad Named To All-Sportsmanship Basketball Team In College Conference
Congrats to Bryan Shapiro!

A Lower Merion grad and former basketball standout was recently named to the 2016-17 Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team for men's basketball.
Bryan Shapiro, a senior guard at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, was named to the team after his college nominated him based on his exemplary sportsmanship, the college said.
This is the first All-Sportsmanship honor for Shapiro, who played nine games for the Shoremen this season, earning a start on Feb. 11 versus Franklin & Marshall where he scored the opening basket of the game on a three-pointer.

At Lower Merion, Shapiro for PIAA 4A State Championship team and was an Honor Roll student.
Shapiro, an economics major, has been named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll in 2015 and 2016 and is a Student-Athlete Mentor, as well as a Presidential Fellow, at Washington College.
