ARDMORE, PA – Lower Merion High School will host its first-ever social justice conference later this month to shed light on how race, gender, and class affect the world around us, and vice versa.
The "Speak Your Truth" conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 28 at the high school.
Workshops will be held during the conference that will focus on the role of gender, race and class in many arenas, including sports, the arts, politics, law, and college campuses.

A full list of workshops and performances scheduled for the event is available here.
They will be led by educators, students, and activists and will use films, performances, and art projects to shed light on the topics, the district said.

Registration is open now for those wishing to participate in the conference. Register online here. Registration is limited to 150 students on a first-come basis.
Lower Merion High School's SAGE (Students Advocating for Gender Equality) is springing the conference. SAGE promotes awareness, discussion and advocacy about social justice issues that intersect with gender, such as gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights,race, ethnicity, class, disability, sexism and sexual violence.
