Lower Merion Memorial Day Events: What You Need To Know
There will be music, a parade, and a Memorial Day service on Monday, May 28 when we honor our veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – Lower Merion Township will observe Memorial Day with a series of events on Monday, May 28 and the public is invited to honor our veterans who lost their lives in service to the nation.
The day's events kick off with the Merion Concert Band performing patriotic and military service songs at 9:45 a.m. at the corner of Lancaster and Argyle roads.
Then the Memorial Day Parade will step off at 10:30 a.m. from Greenfield Avenue.

A parade review will be held at 10:45 a.m. in front of the Lower Merion Township Building at Lancaster and Argyle roads.
The parade will head to St. Paul’s Cemetery for the Memorial Day Service at 11:15 a.m.

Rev. Laura Tancredi, B.A., M.Div. of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and Capt. John J. Mulhern, U.S.N.R. (Ret.) will officiate at the Memorial Service and Flag Ceremony, Taps, and Cannon Salute, which is intended to honor all of those who have died while serving in the United States armed forces.
As for the parade, families and children are welcome with their bicycles, strollers and wagons.
First, second and third place awards will be given for the best decorated bicycles.
First Responder units, Township veterans and civic groups, the Leon Spencer Reid Post veterans (with color guard and auxiliary), the Lower Merion Historical Society, the Friends of Linwood Park, Lower Merion Community Watch, members of the Lower Merion Township Police Department, representatives of Lower Merion’s volunteer fire companies, members of the Lower Merion Board of Commissioners, the Bryn Mawr Fire Company Honor Guard, and others will march in the parade.
Additionally, Eastwick Commandos; the Sisters Guiding Sisters Drill Unit; Cub Scout dens, Girls Scout and Boy Scout troops; the Southwest Philadelphia Light Bearers; West Powelton Drummers; members of Next Level Sports and the First Position Dance Studio, and more will also march.
