Lower Merion Police Cracking Down On Aggressive Driving
Police in the township are joining Pennsylvania State Police and other departments for a crackdown on aggressive driving behaviors.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township are planning to join an aggressive-driving crackdown with Pennsylvania State Police and other municipal agencies.
From Oct. 25 through Nov. 14, police will stop any aggressive driver and issue them a ticket.
Drivers who are driving too fast for conditions, following too closely, or other aggressive actions will also be cited.

Police will focus on school bus violations, tailgating, and speeding.
The goal of targeted enforcement is to reduce the number of aggressive driving related crashes, injuries, and deaths on roadways throughout the state.

The enforcement is part of Pennsylvania’s Highway Safety Program and is funded by part of PennDOT’s investment of federal funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
