Lower Merion Police Rescue Deer Stuck In Fence
A deer was caught in a residential fence and the Lower Merion Police Department stepped in to reunite the deer with its family.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township work hard to serve residents of the township and surrounding areas. But sometimes, they have to serve woodland animals.
On Monday, Lower Merion Police Officers Daniel Razette and Corey Hatton were called to a home in the township after a deer got stuck in a residential fence.
Lower Merion resident Natalie Abbot called Lower Merion Police when she saw the deer stuck in her fence.

The officers worked for a few minutes to clear some brush around the fence and see how they could help the deer.
Eventually, they broke out bolt cutters to snap away one of the metal fence posts.

And with one clip of the cutters the deer was free.
"Big shout out to Lower Merion Police Department who got this little guy unstuck from my fence today," Abbott wrote on a community Facebook page. "Thanks to them, he is back with mom and sis."
