Lower Merion Schools Appoint New Assistant Superintendent
Dr. Alexis McGloin will replace Dr. Scott Eveslage as the Lower Merion School District's Assistant Superintendent.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Merion School District has a new assistant superintendent following the board's approval Monday.
During the Lower Merion Board of School Directors meeting Monday, the board approved the appointment of Dr. Alexis McGloin as the district’s new Assistant Superintendent, according to the district.
She is taking over the role of Dr. Scott Eveslage as he leaves the district to serve as Superintendent of the Hatboro Horsham School District.

"I am honored to be provided this tremendous opportunity to work with the students, staff, administration and community in Lower Merion," McGloin said. "The district has an outstanding reputation and I am excited to become a part of the administrative team."
McGloin's contract has her employed from Sept. 1 and ending June 30, 2024. Her starting salary will be $190,000 with 2 percent increases each year.

Before her appointment, McGloin served as the Assistant Superintendent for Assessment, Professional Development and Educational Services at Central Bucks School District,
McGloin also served as Superintendent of the Upper Perkiomen School District, an assistant superintendent and principal in the Penn Delco School District.
Her education career began teaching chemistry and general science in Kingston.
She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education, Educational Administration and Supervision from East Stroudsburg University and a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Temple University, according to the district.
McGloin lives with her husband and two children in Bryn Mawr.
