Lower Merion Schools Dismissing Early Thursday, Friday
All Lower Merion elementary schools will dismiss early Thursday while the middle and high schools will dismiss early Friday.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Lower Merion School District will dismiss its schools early Thursday and Friday to allow faculty and staff to train for potential long-term closures due to the novel coronavirus.
According to the district, all elementary schools will dismiss early Thursday. The middle schools and high schools will dismiss early Friday.
Elementary schools will dismiss at 12:25 p.m. Thursday; high schools will dismiss at 11:20 a.m. Friday; and middle schools will dismiss at 11:55 a.m. Friday.

Additionally, elementary school conferences scheduled for Thursday and Friday are postponed, the district said.
Teacher will spend both afternoons working on remote learning plans.

"We understand that these schedule changes may cause an inconvenience for some of our families," Superintendent Robert Copeland said. "We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we work to keep our students, staff, their families, our community safe during this time."
