Lower Merion Schools Setting Up Vaccine Clinic For Kids 5 To 11
The district has a tentative date of Nov. 15 for a vaccination clinic that will administer coronavirus vaccines for students ages 5 to 11.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Merion School District is planning to offer a coronavirus vaccination clinic for students 5 to 11 years old.
A tentative date of Nov. 15 for the clinic has been set, though details have not been finalized.
The district is working with Eric's Rx to set up this clinic. Eric's Rx has partnered with the district for previous clinics.

Appointments at this first clinic will be limited to let the district work through the process for younger recipients.
"Vaccinating a large number of younger children poses more challenges than vaccinating teens and adults, as we have to allow more time for each appointment and more space, since children need to be accompanied," the district said. "We want to make sure that any clinics LMSD holds for younger children take into account both their physical and emotional well-being."

Terry Quinlan-Clampffer, MEd, MA, RN, CSN, LMSD's Lead Supervisor of School Health and Student Safety, urged district families to contact their children's healthcare provider and to local pharmacies for possible vaccination appointments ahead of the district's clinic.
More details on the upcoming clinic will be announced at a later date.
