Lower Merion Snow Emergency In Effect At 8 P.M. Monday
Park in driveways when possible and do not park in cul-de-sacs during the emergency.

Lower Merion Township said it will be under a snow emergency beginning 8 p.m. Monday.
With a snow emergency in effect, residents should park on the side of the street with odd addresses. The township said this is only in effect on streets with parking on both sides of the street.
Anyone with driveways on their property is asked to park there. Additionally, residents are asked not to park in cul-de-sacs until the status is lifted.

Residents are also asked to clear snow from around fire hydrants near their property, and resident who live on a corner are asked to clear a path to the street.

Parking is not allowed on snow emergency routes, as well.

All Township offices and buildings will open to the public at least two hours late on Tuesday. Residents should check the township's website or Facebook page for updates on township building hours and openings Tuesday. You can also check the Lower Merion Library System's opening status on its Facebook page here.
The township is encouraging the public to call PECO directly at 1-800-841-4141 in the event of a power outage.
Additionally, residents should call (610) 667-1590, extension 229 to report hazardous conditions or situations in the township.
Trash and recycling for Tuesday has been cancelled. Collections will resume Saturday. From Wednesday through Friday of this week, trash and recycling will be limited to street-side only. There will be no alleyway or rear-yard collections.
