Lower Merion School District Kelly McDermott has been named the Public School Librarian of the Year!
Lower Merion School District Kelly McDermott has been named the Public School Librarian of the Year, the district announced.
Kelly McDermott works at Bala Cynwyd Middle School.
The award was presented by the office of State Sen. Daylin Leach (D-17) who honors two outstanding librarians in his district each year.

One honoree is from the local school system, while one comes from the public system, each year.
"McDermott was selected for her overall outstanding service, including special programs, knowledge of her field and commitment to the public," the district said.
