Man Shot His Child's Mother At Ardmore Bowling Alley: Police

Jamil Wynder has been accused of shooting the mother of his child outside an Ardmore bowling alley earlier this month.

ARDMORE, PA — A man accused of shooting the mother of his child outside an Ardmore bowling alley earlier this month has been taken into custody by federal authorities, according to Haverford Township Police.

Police said Jamil Devon Wynder, 28, of Pottstown was captured by U.S. Marshals in Philadelphia Tuesday and charged with attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault, robbery, and related crimes in connection with an Aug. 13 shooting in Ardmore.

The shooting occurred at about 10:20 p.m. Aug. 13 in the parking lot of Wynnewood Lanes Bowling and Lounge, 2228 Haverford Road in Ardmore.

Police were called to the area for a report of gunshots and found a 24-year-old woman victim suffering from a superficial wound to the chest.

She was taken to the Haverford Township Police Department where she told police about an argument with her child’s father.

Police said during the argument, Wynder pulled out a handgun and fired several shots at the victim, injuring her. The child of the victim was there during the shooting incident.

Police said Wynder then left the area.

After being taken into custody in Philadelphia, Wynder was turned over to Haverford Police.

He is being held on $750,000 cash bail, police said.

Wynder's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 3, court records show.
