Cary, A Billboard Critic's Choice Artist, Will Be Joined By Special Guest Roger Street Friedman

Nationally-acclaimed performer Meghan Cary is kicking off her Women’s History Month celebration with a special performance at The Living Room At 35 East Friday, March 13 at 8 PM.
During this intimate appearance, Cary and her musical partner Peter Farrell will perform hits from her latest chart-topping record Sing Louder, which has been hailed as an album that “inspires us to reach our higher selves.” (John Platt, WFUV FM). Sing Louder, which debuted among the top 10 on the US / International Folk DJ Radio Charts, is being played at mainstream radio in more than 40 markets throughout the country and in Canada.
Among those hits will be Cary’s anthem of women’s empowerment, “River Rock”, which is at the heart of The River Rock Project, celebrating the 100thanniversary of the ratification of the 19thamendment giving women the right to vote. The River Rock Project is a documentary and music video that celebrates a century of progress since women won their right to be heard. Its mission is to harnesses the energy of that celebration to inspire action toward achieving economic, political and social equality for all.

“‘River Rock’,was inspired by and written for all the women who have been brave enough to speak their Truth, even into a society that might not want to hear it,” explains Cary. “One hundred years ago, thanks to the courageous women who fought tirelessly for what they believed in, we were all given a voice. Let’s use it.”
Joining Cary for this much-anticipated show is acclaimed singer-songwriter Roger Street Friedman. Garnering critical acclaim for his debut The Waiting Sky, the album received national airplay and reached #2 on the Roots Music Report's Americana Album chart, where it spent over 25 weeks in the top 20. He was named a 2019 Falcon Ridge Emerging Artist and is a three-time NERFA Semi-Formal showcase artist. His third full-length album is expected to be released this spring.
