Merion Station Girl Receives Merit Scholarship To Attend Davidson College
Well done, Carlina Green.

Merion, PA -- Carlina Green, of Merion Station, has received the Presidential Scholarship as an incoming student at Davidson College, the school announced in a news release. Carlina will enroll with the Class of 2020 in August.
Carlina is the daughter of Rev. Ken Green and Rev. Dr. Tassie Green of Brookway Road, and is a graduate of Lower Merion High School, Davidson said.
The Presidential Scholars Program recognizes prospective members of the Davidson College community who have demonstrated outstanding achievement and will contribute their proven leadership in the areas of diverse cultural or socioeconomic perspectives to the Davidson community, according to the release.

As the name of this award suggests, these Scholars have a special relationship with the President of Davidson College. Presidential Scholars provide invaluable insights and guidance as the college seeks to enhance understanding and dialog among differing groups of students, faculty, staff, and the larger Davidson community, the school said.
Founded in 1837, Davidson describes itself as a highly selective independent liberal arts college of 2,000 undergraduates. The school is located 20 miles north of Charlotte.
