Oct. Lower Merion Health Inspections: McCloskey's, 2 Schools

ARDMORE-MERION-WYNNEWOOD, PA – The Montgomery County Health Department inspected a handful of establishments in areas of Lower Merion Township this October and found many to be in violations of various health codes.

The department visited 26 facilities in the Ardmore-Merion-Wynnewood areas. Only six of the 20 did not have violations in October.

McCloskey's Tavern in Ardmore had the most violations with 16. Those included mouse-like droppings found in the basement, food stored under stairs, fly-like insects found at the bar, food debris on a can opener, and more.

• Penn Wynne Elementary School – Oct. 20, one violation
• Ardmore Pizza – Oct. 19, eight violations
• Sushi Tokyo Japanese Food Services Inc. – Oct. 19, no violations
• Lower Merion High School – Oct. 19, four violations
• Hymie's Deli – Oct. 17, eight violations
• Beth Am Israel Synagogue – Oct. 17, two violations
• The Beer Frame – Oct. 16, no violations
• Waldron Mercy Academy, Williamson Hospitality – Oct. 16, four violations
• Ardmore Q – Oct. 12, nine violations
• Di Bruno Bros, Ardmore Farmers Market – Oct. 12, seven violations
• Trader Joe's #635 – Oct. 12, three violations
• Chung Sing Restaurant – Oct. 10, 10 violations
• Friend's Central School - Lower – Oct. 10, two violations
• Friend's Central School - Upper – Oct. 10, two violations
• Jules Thin Crust Ardmore – Oct. 6, 12 violations
