Pair Tried To Use Stolen Credit Card At Ardmore CVS

ARDMORE, PA — Lower Merion Police are asking for help identifying two people who tried to buy hundreds of dollars with of gift cards from a CVS in Ardmore.

According to police, the two above tired to buy several $500 gift cards at the Ardmore CVS using an unknown credit card, which was likely stolen.

A store employee asked the woman to show her identification when trying to buy the gift cards, but the woman only showed it from a distance, police said.

The woman then said she had a better form of ID in her car, then she and the man left the store on foot and did not return, police said.

According to police, the pair match the description people from a previous incident on Nov. 18 in Tredyffrin Township.

During that incident, the victim had her purse stolen while she was shopping at Trader Joe’s and her credit cards were used at the nearby stores in the King of Prussia area.
