PennDOT Work Impacting Two Roads In Lower Merion Next Week
PennDOT said bridge inspection work and pavement repair work will impact traffic on two major roads in the township next week.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Interstate 76 east and west in Lower Merion will have lane closures next week due to bridge inspection work next week, PennDOT said.
According to PennDOT, moving right lane closures are planned Tuesday through Thursday on Interstate 76 west between the Gladwyne and the Route 23 interchanges in Lower Merion and West Conshohocken.
The moving closure will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Additionally, a moving right lane closure is planned for Interstate 76 east on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The affected area is between the I-476 and the Belmont Avenue interchanges Lower Merion and West Conshohocken.

PennDOT also said crews will be fixing deteriorated roads on Interstate 76 and U.S. Route 422 in Lower Merion next week.
Crews will restrict travel lanes on those roads during the work, and drivers advised to be alert of this moving operation and to expect intermittent lane closures and possible slowdowns when driving near work crews.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
