Philadelphia Flyers To Join National Night Out In Wynnewood
The community engagement event will feature Philadelphia's own Flyers hockey team on Aug. 3 in Wynnewood.

WYNNEWOOD, PA — After a hiatus lat year due to the coronavirus pandemic, National Night Out is returning to Wynnewood with special guests.
Organizers Thursday announced the Philadelphia Flyers will be on hand to help celebrate the return of the event.
The event will be held at Wynnewood Shopping Center — in the rear of the center near Giant and Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza — on Tuesday, Aug. 3, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Attendees will be able to enjoy live music, food, rides, carnival games, Lower Merion police and firefighters, and Narberth Ambulance, roving entertainment, safety information, and area nonprofits and businesses.
"After a year off due to COVID, everyone is excited to get the party restarted," National Night Out founder Matt Peskin, of Wynnewood, said. "NNO brings neighbors and first-responders together under positive circumstances. It's a great night to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie."

Parking will be available throughout the Wynnewood Shopping Center.
National Night Out aims to heighten crime prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and; send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
This year's National Night Out will involve millions of people from 16,500 communities across the country from all 50 states.
