Poppi's Pizza In Wynnewood Closing

WYNNEWOOD, PA – A pizza joint in Wynnewood that's been dishing out pies for nearly a decade announced it will close its doors after this weekend.

Poppi's Pizza, located at 50 Wynnewood Road in the Wynnewood Shopping Center, will open one last time on Sunday, Jan. 28.

The closing announcement was made on Facebook Wednesday, Jan. 24.

"It is with great sadness that we are announcing the closing of Poppi’s Pizza," the post said. "We are so grateful to have been serving you and want to thank you from the deepest part of all of our hearts for the opportunity to have been able to fill your stomachs and produce so many smiles along the way."

The announcement was met with much dismay from the community. The Facebook post garnered comments expressing grief of the closure as well as customers thanking them for serving delicious pizzas for so long.

"Thanks for being the smartest and kindest customers in the whole world," the post says.
