PSEA Art Exhibit Features LMSD Students
Thirty-four students from LMSD are featured in PSEA's Touch The Future Art Show, running through Feb. 27 in Jenkintown.

Thirty-four Lower Merion High School and Harriton High School students are featured artists in the 2011 PSEA Touch The Future Art Show, according to a LMSD press release. The exhibit, which will run through Feb. 27 at Abington Art Center in Jenkintown, features over 200 pieces of art from Bucks and Montgomery county-area school districts.
Over 1200 pieces of art were submitted to the show, and less than a quarter were selected, according to the press release. Twenty school districts are represented, with Lower Merion School District comprising 10 percent of the art show’s pieces.
Two LMSD students received prizes at the competition. Shane Foust, a Harriton senior, won first place in the jewelry category and a $50 prize for his sterling silver Henna cuff bracelet. Emily Trueswell, a junior at LMHS, received the Juror’s Choice Award for a mixed media self-portrait, the press release said.
