River Road Residents In Lower Merion Should Evacuate: Police

LOWER MERION, PA — With the Schuylkill River swollen after the rain and rising this morning, residents on River Road were advised to evacuate by Lower Merion Police.

The river is expected to crest by 10:30 a.m., authorities said.

For residents who do evacuate, police urged them to use Waverly Road.

In addition to flooding, there are lane restrictions on Mill Creek Road, between Old Gulph Road and Grays Lane, Friday morning. Crews are repairing the surface of the road. Restrictions began at 9 a.m. and will continue for a few hours.
