Robbery, Thefts From Cars, More: Lower Merion Crime Blotter

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township released details on recent crimes across the township.

The incidents occurred between Feb. 10 and Feb. 19.

Feb. 19

• Theft from Vehicle (Overbrook) — Victim's unlocked Subaru was entered and gone through overnight while parked along the street in front of the victim's residence. Various items were removed and the investigation into this incident is continuing.
• Theft from Vehicle (Wynnewood) — Victim's Honda was entered and gone through overnight while parked in their driveway overnight. This incident is still under investigation.
• Theft from Vehicle (Penn Wynne) — Victim's unlocked Nissan was entered and gone through overnight while parked along the street in front of their residence. Various items were removed from the vehicle and the investigation is continuing.
• Theft of Vehicle (Wynnewood) — Victim's Hyundai was stolen from the driveway of their residence over the weekend. The investigation into this incident is continuing.
• Theft from Vehicle (Wynnewood) — Victim's Toyota was entered and gone through overnight while parked in the victim's driveway. There does not appear to be anything missing at this time and the investigation into this incident is continuing.
• Theft from Vehicle (Penn Wynne) — Victim's Kia was entered and gone through overnight while parked along the street in front of their residence. No items appear to be missing at this time. Security video observed three individuals running down the street and enter the victim's vehicle. The investigation is continuing.
• Theft from Vehicle (Penn Wynne) — Victim's Mazda was entered and gone through overnight while parked along the street in front of their residence. No items appear to be missing at this time and the investigation is continuing.
• Theft of Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) — A Toyota was stolen from the parking lot of a rental center after being returned by a customer. Video surveillance shows an individual enter the vehicle and driveway in the overnight hours. The investigation into this incident is continuing.
• Robbery (Bala Cynwyd) — A actor was taken into custody after attempting to steal multiple items from the clothing store. The actor was confronted by store security and became combative injuring one of the store personnel. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Feb. 18

• Theft of Purse (Wynnewood) — Victim had their purse stolen while shopping at a local grocery store. Victim reported that the purse was placed in the top of the shopping cart and may have been left unattended for various lengths of time. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Feb. 16

• Theft from Vehicle (Wynnewood) — After shopping at a local grocery store the victim discovered the front window of their vehicle broken out and a cell phone and a bag containing the keys to their jewelry store were missing from the trunk. Investigation into this incident is continuing.

Feb. 13

• Theft from Vehicle (Penn Wynne) — Victim was awoken by the sound of sawing outside their residence and observed a group of individuals under and around their vehicle. Actors fled the scene prior to police arrival and the investigation into this incident is continuing.

Feb. 12

• Theft of Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) — Victim's vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of their office building while at work. Video surveillance shows a group of individuals enter the vehicle and leave the scene. The investigation is continuing.
• Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) — Victim had both rear windows of their vehicle broken out and their wallet stolen from the inside of the vehicle while at a local fitness center. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Feb. 11

• Theft of Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) — Victim's vehicle was stolen after he left the vehicle running and unlocked as he entered a convenience store. The vehicle was recovered a short time later in Philadelphia and the investigation is continuing.
• Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) — Victim had a drivers side window broken out on their vehicle was parked at local playground. The victim's pocketbook and cell phone were stolen from the vehicle. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Feb. 10

• Theft of Bicycle (Wynnewood) — Victim's unsecured E-Bike was removed from the rear of the shopping center while the victim worked. The investigation into this incident is continuing
