Sean McNeeley named new CFO for Associated Services for the Blind
McNeeley further strengthens leadership team with over 20 years of experience in various financial leadership positions in the public sector

PHILADELPHIA (Jan. 30, 2020) – This week, the Associated Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ASB), Philadelphia’s leading provider of services for this population, announced the appointment of Sean McNeeley as the organization’s new chief financial officer.
“We are pleased to welcome a qualified and talented individual like Sean to our team,” said Karla S. McCaney, President and CEO of Associated Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired. “Sean rounds out our leadership team at an important time as we continue to evolve our offerings and structure as a human services agency to serve as both a resource and champion for those in the Philadelphia region who are facing vision loss by equipping them with the techniques, strategies, assistive devices, and technology that can inspire their independence and help them achieve their personal goals and thrive,” she said.
Prior to joining the Associated Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired, McNeeley served for more than 20 years in various financial leadership positions in the public sector and professional services industry. He most recently served as practice manager of the Center for Retirement Finance at Public Financial Management, Inc., where he led significant financial and organizational assessments of pension and retiree medical systems for state and local government clients among many other responsibilities. Prior to his role at Public Financial Management, Inc., McNeeley served as CFO for the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.

“I am delighted to assume my new role as ASB’s CFO and am excited for this next chapter in my career,” said McNeeley. “I’m fortunate to be working with an organization that is making a significant impact in the Philadelphia region, and I look forward to helping ASB make a positive impact on more lives in 2020. I’m really looking forward to working with the rest of ASB’s passionate team,” he said.
McCaney added that McNeeley’s role is new to ASB and will be key to helping the nonprofit implement its strategic plan, which will include identifying new opportunities for expanding strategic partnerships, programs, and funding.

McNeeley received his bachelor’s degree from the Ohio State University where he double majored in economics and political science. He then went on to earn a master’s of public administration also at the Ohio State University. McNeeley resides in Wynnewood, Pa.
