See Key Dates For The 2019-2020 Lower Merion School Year

ARDMORE, PA — It's almost time for the kids to head back to school, believe it or not. And with that in mind, we're sharing the key dates parents and guardians need to know for the 2019-2020 school year in the Lower Merion School District.

The 2019-2020 calendar was OKed by the school board in April last year, but now is the time community members want and need calendar information.

See key dates below:

• Sept. 3, 2019: First day of school for kindergarten students
• Sept. 30, 2019: No school
• Oct. 1, 2019: No school
• Oct. 9, 2019: No school
• Oct. 31, 2019: Half day/early dismissal
• Nov. 5, 2019: Act 80 day, no school for students
• Nov. 27 2019: Half day/early dismissal
• Nov. 28, 2019 — Nov. 29, 2019: No school
• Dec. 23, 2019 — January 1, 2020: No school
• Jan. 17, 2020: Half day/early dismissal
• Jan. 20, 2020: No school
• Feb. 3, 2020: Staff inservice, no school for students
• Feb. 14, 2020: Half day/early dismissal
• Feb. 17, 2020: No school
• March 20, 2020: No school (High school students only)
• April 6, 2010 — April 10, 2020: No school
• April 28, 2020: Act 80 day, no school for Kindergarten through eighth grade students
• May 22, 2020: Half day/early dismissal
• May 25, 2020: No school
• June 15, 2020: Tentative last day of school for students
• June 16, 2020: Last day for teachers, Act 80 day
• June 17, 2020: Act 80 day

Make up dates for emergency closings are planned for June 16 through June 19, 2020. If make up days exceed end of school year dates, spring break days will be used to make up days beginning with April 6.
