See The Latest Coronavirus Figures In Lower Merion Township
Coronavirus-related deaths have not increased since early July in Lower Merion Township, but new cases are still being identified.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — The coronavirus appears to be dwindling in the Philadelphia region, but Lower Merion Township is still seeing new cases daily.
Data provided by Montgomery County Friday shows cases are still being identified but deaths have remained static.
According to the county, Lower Merion has seen a total of 826 cases since March 7.

Below are case counts by age as of Friday:
- 0 to 9 — 18
- 10 to 19 — 74
- 20 to 29 — 114
- 30 to 39 — 80
- 40 to 49 — 93
- 50 to 59 — 97
- 60 to 69 — 99
- 70 to 79 — 68
- 80 to 89 — 112
- 90 and older — 75
Very few Lower Merion residents who tested positive have been hospitalized. Data shows just 10 people have been hospitalized, but not died from the virus. Three people each in the 50 to 59 and 60 to 69 age brackets have been hospitalized; two have been in the 70 to 79 and 80 to 89 age brackets; and one in the 90 and older bracket.

The average age of Lower Merion residents infected with the virus is 53.2
Of the 826 cases, 370 have been men and 454 have been women. Two cases have not had the gender identified.
Nearby, Narberth Borough has seen an increase in cases, albeit a slight increase.
The total case count in Narberth went unchanged for weeks. On July 9, 23 cases were reported in Narberth. That number went up to 24 on Aug 21, then to 26 on Aug. 31. Friday's data shows the borough's total case count is now 29.
However, Narberth has not had any coronavirus-related deaths.
The number of Lower Merion residents who died from the coronavirus has remained unchanged since early July. A total of 84 people have died from the virus.
Of those deaths, one person was in their 40s, one person was in their 50s, four were in their 60s, 10 were in their 70s, 40 were in their 80s, and 28 were 90 and above. Additionally, 49 women and 35 men have died in Lower Merion.
Data shows the average age of a coronavirus victim in Lower Merion is 85.5.
The racial breakdown of deaths shows 31 have been white, 15 were Black, and 38 were "unknown," according to Montgomery County.
Overall, the county has seen 11,332 positive cases and 829 coronavirus-related deaths since March 7.
