See Lower Merion Township's Latest Coronavirus Numbers

For the week ending Jan. 28, the township had a 148.1​2 per 100,000 person incidence rate, which is down from 163.4​ the previous week.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — The coronavirus is still affecting the lives of Lower Merion Township residents even as the vaccine is rolled out in Montgomery County.

As of Friday, more than 2,300 residents have been infected by the coronavirus.

The most recent data from Montgomery County shows a total of 2,328 Lower Merion residents currently have or have had the virus.

Below are age range breakdowns of cases to date:

  • 0 to 9 — 127
  • 10 to 19 — 281
  • 20 to 29 — 382
  • 30 to 39 — 284
  • 40 to 49 — 308
  • 50 to 59 — 269
  • 60 to 69 — 224
  • 70 to 79 — 183
  • 80 to 89 — 172
  • 90 and older — 97

The average age of a Lower Merion resident infected with the virus is 44.64.

Data Shows 1,241 women have been infected by the virus and 1,080 men have been infected. The gender for seven cases have not been identified.

For the week ending Jan. 28, the township had a 148.1 per 100,000 person incidence rate, which is down from 163.4 the previous week. Additionally, the 14-day positivity rate went up from 4.69 percent to 5.13 percent the week ending Dec. 10.

As of Friday, 100 people in Lower Merion Township have died from the virus.

  • 40 to 49 — 2
  • 50 to 59 — 1
  • 60 to 69 — 6
  • 70 to 79 — 14
  • 80 to 89 — 44
  • 90 and older — 33

Of the 100 deaths, 57 have been women and 43 have been men.

Montgomery County overall has had 43,622 cases of the coronavirus, as well as 1,151 coronavirus related deaths, as of Friday.
