Select Lower Merion Parks Approved For Deer Hunting

Township employees and members of approved hunting groups can try to get a deer in eight Lower Merion parks. Get more info here.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — It's hunting season, and Lower Merion Township has eight parks where hunters can look to bag a deer.

Now through Dec. 14 and again from Dec. 26 through Jan. 25, hunters can try to get a deer in the following areas of the township:

  • Appleford Estate
  • Black Rock Road at Dove Lake Road
  • Rolling Hill Park
  • The Croyle Property
  • Upper Mill Creek Park
  • Lower Mill Creek Park
  • Kenealy Park north of Lafayette Road
  • Kenealy Park south of Lafayette Road

The township permits the use of bows and strictly forbids the use of firearms when hunting in these parks.

Hunters must meet all the rules and regulations of the Pennsylvania Game Commission and must be approved by township staff prior to hunting on township properties.

Hunting on township property is currently open to current township employees and members of an approved hunting group.

Hunting on Township property is not open to the public and anyone hunting on township property without permission will be prosecuted.

Please note the above rules apply when hunting on township property.

Hunters are permitted to hunt on private property as long as they have permission from the property owner and adhere to all Pennsylvania Game Commissions rules and regulations.
