The local star led the Hawks to an Atlantic 10 Championship and NCAA Tournament berth. The Hawks won their opening round matchup against Cincinnati but then lost a heartbreaker to Oregon in the next round.

Bembry was also named the Big 5 and Atlantic 10 player of the year.

Bembry, 6'6 tall and 210 pound junior, is from Charlotte, North Carolina but went to high school at The Patrick School in New Jersey.

CBS ranks Bembry as the draft's 20th best prospect, and he is projected to be taken in the mid to late first round.

The Philadelphia 76ers, who have the first overall pick in the draft,will take LSU forward Ben Simmons, according to numerous reports.

The draft begins at 8 p.m. Thursday.
