Spread Bagelry opening Wynnewood Location Monday

WYNNEWOOD, PA — A popular local bagel chain is planning to open a Wynnewood location and raise funds for a non-profit that aims to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Spread Bagelry, known for its wood-fired Montreal-style bagels, spreads, and sandwiches, will open its doors Monday at the new Wynnewood location.

Then, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, Spread Bagelry will help raise funds and awareness for Best Buddies.

Spread Bagelry is hosting a "Bagels and Buddies" fundraiser at the Wynnewood store.

The event will feature Spread Bagelry Head Chef and COO Brooks Tanner along with Best Buddies participants creating a new cream cheese spread, specially crafted to tantalize taste buds and bolster awareness about the abilities, talents, and potential of people with IDD. An official ribbon-cutting will take place at noon.

The Spread Bagelry / Best Buddies collab will be celebrated along with community members, Best Buddies eastern Pennsylvania executives and friend pairs, and Spread Bagelry leadership and staff. Fundraising for Best Buddies will take place throughout the day from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday.

The Best Buddies collaborative cream cheese spread will be revealed in February 2024 with the opening of Spread Bagelry’s highly anticipated 3,000-square-foot, all-day dining outpost in Newtown Square's Ellis Preserve.
