Springfield Crime Blotter: Drugs, Theft
Police arrested two people on two separate occasions for possessing heroin, according to authorities. See full details here.
SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
This week's blotter is scant, with just three incidents included.
The incidents occurred Dec. 15 and Dec. 20.

Dec. 15 at 1:29 p.m.
Officers were called to the 1400 block of Baltimore Pike to investigate two subjects passed out inside a vehicle. Both subjects were identified, and a female was found to have a quantity of heroin in her possession. She was also found to have an active arrest warrant from Delaware County. Sarah Kelleher 31, of Philadelphia, was taken into custody and turned over to Delaware County Sheriff. Drug charges were filed. The male was released at the scene and charged with summary offenses.

Dec. 15 at 2:57 p.m.
Employees at T-Mobile, 800 block of Baltimore Pike, reported four males entered the store and removed several iPhones and Apple watches from the display area and fled the store. A short time later, a similar theft involving the same suspects occurred at AT&T, 700 block of West Sproul Road. Sgt. J. DiTrolio is investigating.
Dec. 20 at 6:45 p.m.
Target security, 800 block of Baltimore Pike, reported two subjects, a male and female, were observed stealing close to $1,000 worth of merchandise. Both were stopped by police and the merchandise was recovered. The male also had heroin and pills in his possession. Both subjects, 21-year-old female from Philadelphia and 32-year-old male from Scranton, were taken into custody and will be charged with Retail Theft and drug offenses.
