St Joe's Student Shot During Carjacking Attempt: Reports
The incident occurred just outside of Lower Merion Township at Upland Road and Drexel Road Tuesday night in the Overbrook neighborhood.
PHILADELPHIA — A St. Joseph's University student is in stable condition after he was shot during an attempted carjacking Tuesday night.
According to Action News, a 21-year-old student was parking his vehicle at about 10:45 p.m. Tuesday was at Upland and Drexel roads in Philadelphia's Overbrook neighborhood, just about a half mile from Lower Merion Township, when the incident occurred.
Two men pulled up in a black minivan to the victim's vehicle and pulled him out of the vehicle, NBC10 reports.

The men tried to get the student's keys, but he fought back, which led him to be struck with a handgun then shot in the knee, according to Fox 29.
After the shooting, the men got back into the van and drove off toward Woodbine Avenue, Action News reports.
