Support Lower Merion Police During No-Shave November
Donate to individual police officers or the entire department to aid the cancer prevention, research, and education group No-Shave November.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township might be looking a bit scraggly this month as they raise money for cancer as part of the No-Shave November campaign.
No-Shave November is a web-based, non-profit organization devoted to growing cancer awareness and raising funds to support cancer prevention, research, and education.
Throughout November, police in Lower Merion will be growing their beards and mustaches out in hopes of raising money for the group.

"There are a lot of scraggly faces around here this week, save for a few hardy souls who grow full beards overnight anyway," police said. "Come Thanksgiving we expect to see a legion of magnificent whiskers, even if the end results are a little more gray & patchy than expected."
Every November for the past ten years, no-shavers have donated the cost of grooming — from a few dollars on razors to $100 on a salon visit — and helped the organization raise more than $10 million to date.
"All of us have been touched by this horrible disease," police said. "We have suffered along those we have lost, those who have won, and those who bravely fight on today."
