Trader Joe's Shopper Pickpocketed Monday: Lower Merion Police

A shopper at Trader Joe's in Ardmore had her wallet stolen while she shopped, then her credit cards were used to make fraudulent purchases.

ARDMORE, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township are asking for the public's help identifying a pickpocket suspect who stole a wallet then used the stolen credit cards at a store.

Police said at about 11:15 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, a shopper at Trader Joe's in Ardmore had her wallet stolen.

The victim discovered the wallet was missing at about 11:45 a.m. She then got fraud alerts regarding her cards, police said.

Police said the cards were used at the Target Store on Monument Road.

Security footage showed the suspect is a short, black woman who was wearing a black sun hat, a black thigh length sweater, white or cream-colored sweatshirt, black leggings and carrying a dark bag.
