Traffic To Stop Completely On I-76 In Lower Merion Sunday

PennDOT is planning a 15-minute stoppage on Interstate 76 in both directions in Lower Merion Township Sunday morning.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Interstate 76 will have a one-time, 15-minute stoppage this weekend in Lower Merion Township, according to PennDOT.

PennDOT said the stoppage will affect both the east and westbound lanes.

This will occur between 8 a.m. and noon on Sunday between the City Avenue/U.S. 1 Interchange in Lower Merion and Philadelphia.

This stoppage will allow crews to conduct pole removal operations, PennDOT said.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because significant backups and delays will occur.
