Vehicle Break-Ins, Theft, Road Rage: Lower Merion Crime Blotter

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Lower Merion Police released details on recent crime incidents in the township.

These incidents occurred between Oct. 22 and Oct. 31.

Oct. 31

• Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - The victim late reported that two of their vehicles, a Toyota and Honda, were entered in the overnight hours of Oct. 28, while parked in their driveway. The investigation into the incident is continuing.

Oct. 30

• Theft from Vehicle (Wynnewood) - The victim stated that after shopping at a local grocery store, they placed their purse on the front seat of their vehicle. While returning the shopping cart, they were distracted by a female actor and when they returned to their vehicle their purse was missing from the front seat. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Oct. 29

• Attempted Theft of Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Multiple actors were observed trying car door handles in the parking lot of an apartment complex. The actors were seen entering and attempting to drive away in a vehicle which had been parked in the lot. The actors fled on foot upon police arrival. The investigation into the incident is continuing
• Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - While investigating the above theft of a vehicle, it was determined that a Toyota was entered and gone through. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
• Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - While investigating the above theft of a vehicle, it was determined that a Lexus was entered and gone through. The investigation into the incident is continuing.

Oct. 25

• Assault/Road Rage (Bryn Mawr) - A suspect was taken into custody following a road rage incident where a firearm was displayed. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Oct. 22

• Theft (Bryn Mawr) - Security reported that numerous packages were stolen from the mailroom of a local college during the overnight hours. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
