Villanova Parade To Be Held In Philadelphia Friday
The Villanova Wildcats are the 2016 NCAA National Champions.

Philadelphia's professional sports teams may be in the midst of various rebuilding phases, but a few miles down the Main Line, the area is home to the National Champions.
The Villanova Wildcats men's basketball team will celebrate their dramatic Monday win over North Carolina with a parade through Center City Friday, giving the city the celebration that seemed so impossibly far away.
The parade will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 8.

It is slated to progress from 20th and Market Street and conclude at Dilworth Park, Father Peter Donohue said in a letter sent to the Villanova community.
The route will be about .4 miles long.

This is the second national championship won by Villanova. The first came in 1985, when Villanova became the lowest seeded team an eight seed - to ever win a title, when they upset top ranked Georgetown.
