Volunteers Sought for Tree Planting at Shortridge Park

The event will be held rain or shine, and is being led by Eagle Scout candidate Max Mazo.

The following was provided to Patch by Lower Merion Township:

The Lower Merion Conservancy will conduct a tree planting day at Shortridge Memorial Park on Sunday, December 7th from 9 AM to 1 PM. The project is part of an effort to stabilize a section of the creek that runs through the park.

Volunteers are needed to help with the planting, which will include 28 trees and 34 shrubs. The event will be held rain or shine, and is being led by Eagle Scout candidate Max Mazo.

Shortridge Memorial Park is a 12.3-acre nature park located in Wynnewood, along Shortridge drive between Remington Road and East Wynnewood Road. The Conservancy received funding from the Cora L. Brooks foundation to conduct the planting.
