Weeks-Long Closure Coming To Roberts Road In Lower Merion

A portion of Roberts Road in Lower Merion will close weekdays through the end of November, according to PennDOT.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — A portion of Roberts Road in Lower Merion Township will be closed weekdays for several weeks to accommodate PECO work, PennDOT said.

According to PennDOT, Roberts Road will close weekdays between Montgomery and Wyndon avenues.

The road will close weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for gas main installation.

Closures will begin Wednesday, Oct. 23 and last through the end of November, PennDOT said.

During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Lancaster Avenue/US 30, Spring Mill Road/Route 320, Morris Avenue, Harriton Road and Old Gulph Road.

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
