West Montgomery Ave To Reopen Saturday Due To PECO Work Issues
Lower Merion Township said PECO encountered unforeseen issues, forcing crews to pause gas main work on the road for at least several weeks.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — West Montgomery Avenue will reopen this week Lower Merion Township officials said Wednesday due to issues PECO is facing.
According to the township, gas main work from PECO will be moving off West Montgomery Avenue due to unforeseen issues.
All PECO equipment will be moved from the road, which will reopen Saturday and be open for several weeks, the township said.

Once PECO resolves the issues, the equipment return to West Montgomery Avenue and the full road closure will go back into effect between Spring Mill and Matsons Ford road until the gas main drill and connection work is completed.
PECOs gas main crew will move onto Matson Ford Road between West Montgomery Avenue and Route 23.

And the township said Aqua Pennsylvania work on West Montgomery Avenue will begin later this month or in early April, but a date has yet to be set.
The work will be done between Matsons Ford to Spring Mill roads.
During the work, Aqua crews will be flagging traffic around the work zones for most of their project.
Drivers will encounter intermittent closures during the project.
