West Montgomery Avenue Closing For 8 Weeks Due To PECO Work

VILLANOVA, PA — A portion of West Montgomery Avenue in the Villanova section of Lower Merion Township will be closed entirely beginning next week, with the closure lasting about two months.

The township said starting Monday, Jan. 11, the road will be completely closed to accommodate PECO gas main work.

West Montgomery Avenue will be closed between Spring Mill and Matsons Ford roads for about eight weeks.

Drivers will be detoured to Old Gulph and County Line roads.

Residents will have access down to North Stone Ridge Lane on the south side of the project and residents will have access to Woodfield Road on the north side of the project.

According to the township, trough traffic will not be possible in the work area and emergency vehicles will not have through access during this closure.
