ARDMORE, PA – A Delaware County woman is behind bars in the Montgomery County jail in connection with a knifepoint robbery in Ardmore. She and a Philadelphia man are also being charged in connection with two Haverford Township knifepoint robberies.

Jessica Ettore, 37, of Upper Darby, was charged with robbery, simple assault, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and related crimes in connection with the Nov. 26 robbery at Marlboro and Wellington roads in the Ardmore section of Lower Merion Township, according to court records and Haverford Township Police.

Ettore, as well as Matthew Jason Jimenez, 32, of Philadelphia, were also charged with similar crimes in connection with two Haverford Township knifepoint robberies that occurred Nov. 19 and Nov. 22, according to court records and police.

Police said the suspects in that case were described similarly to the suspects in the previous robberies.

The Lower Merion robbery victim’s credit cards were used at a gas station in Philadelphia and Philadelphia Police were able to obtain surveillance video of a woman using the stolen credit cards.

With Haverford, Lower Merion, and Philadelphia police looking into the incidents, an arrest warrant was later issued for Ettore's arrest in connection with the Lower Merion robbery.

She was arrested on Nov. 28 by Lower Merion and Upper Darby police. Ettore was remanded to the Montgomery County Jail on $99,000 bail Nov. 29.

Through police interviews, authorities learned from Ettore the second suspect was Jimenez. He was taken into custody by Upper Darby Police on drug-related charges on Dec. 1.

Haverford Police Detectives interviewed Jimenenz and discovered he had a red-handled knife similar to one used in the Nov. 19 incident and clothing that was worn during one of the Haverford robberies.

Jimenez was taken to the Delaware County jail in lieu of $50,000 bail on Dec. 2, court records show.

Ettore will appear for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 14 in a Montgomery County Court for the charges out of Lower Merion. She is slated to appear on Jan. 11 in a Delaware County court for the Haverford charges.

Jimenez is set to have his preliminary hearing on Dec. 21 in Delaware County.
