LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Two PennDOT projects will affect traffic on two busy Lower Merion Township roads this week.

According to PennDOT, Lancaster Avenue and Interstate 76 are impacted this week.

Lancaster Avenue/U.S. Route 30 will be targeted as part of PennDOT's work to address deteriorated roads across the region this week.

Crews will restrict travel lanes on these state highways to patch areas of deteriorating pavement.

Drivers should be aware of this moving operation and to expect intermittent lane closures and possible slowdowns when driving near work crews.

And lane closures will be in effect on Interstate 76 in both directions between Belmont Avenue/Green Lane and I-476 interchanges due to bridge inspection work.

The closures will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday this week.

Drivers should allow for extra time when traveling through the work areas, as slowdowns may occur.
