WYNNEWOOD, PA — Firefighters battled a residential blaze in Wynnewood for about two hours Tuesday night.

Crews were dispatched to 926 Delmont Drive in Wynnewood at about 11:11 p.m. for a second-floor fire at a home, Lower Merion Fire Chief James McCoy told Patch.

First responders from Penn Wynne Fire Company, Merion Fire Company of Ardmore, and Brookline Fire Company found flames coming from a second-floor window on the home and began fighting the fire back inside the property.

McCoy said the fire eventually extended from a bedroom into the home's attic, which led firefighters to withdraw from the home's interior and begin attacking the fire from outside.

After most of the fire was knocked down by the exterior attack, firefighters went back inside to extinguish any potential hot spots in walls and ceilings.

The fire was placed under control by about 12:10 a.m., and all units cleared the scene at about 2 a.m. McCoy said.

No residents in the home or firefighters were hurt in the fire.

The fire's cause is under investigation.
