Wynnewood Seminarians Biking For 'Heed The Call' Awareness
Seminarians will travel more than 150 miles by bike to offer holy hours, prayer services in Chester, Montgomery, and Bucks counties.
WYNNEWOOD, PA — Seminarians from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood have launched Biking for Vocations in an effort to bring attention to Heed the Call and vocations to the Priesthood.
Heed to Call is the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office for Vocations to the Diocesan Priesthood.
Over the course of five days from Aug. 8 through Aug. 12, seminarians will travel more than 150 miles by bike to offer holy hours, prayer services, and discuss their vocation pathways at Archdiocesan parishes located in Chester, Montgomery, and Bucks Counties.

Biking for Vocations will kick off with an opening ceremony and blessing of bikes led by Reverend Stephen DeLacy, Director of the Vocation Office for the Diocesan Priesthood.
Following the conclusion of ceremony, the seminarians will depart for their five-day pilgrimage.

The seminarians plan to broadcast portions of the five-day pilgrimage via Facebook Live. In addition, they will regularly post about their journey on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Thursday, Aug. 8
On the first day of the pilgrimage, the seminarians are scheduled to visit, Saint Maximilian Kolbe Parish in West Chester (afternoon) and Saint Joseph Parish in Downingtown (evening).
Reverend Alex Pancoast, Parochial Vicar of Saint Joseph Parish, will lead a Holy Hour at 7:30 p.m. Father Pancoast completed six years of formation at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary and was ordained by Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap. in May.
Friday, Aug. 9
On the second day of the pilgrimage, the seminarians are scheduled to visit Saint Teresa of Avila Parish in Norristown (afternoon) and Saint Eleanor Parish in Collegeville (evening).
Saturday, Aug. 10
On the third day of the pilgrimage, the seminarians are scheduled to visit Saint Rose of Lima Parish in North Wales (afternoon) and Saint Agnes Parish in Sellersville (evening).
Sunday, Aug. 11
On the fourth day of the pilgrimage, the seminarians are scheduled to visit Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Doylestown (afternoon) and Saint Andrew Parish in Newtown (evening).
Monday, Aug. 12
On the final day of the pilgrimage, the seminarians will visit Saint Catherine of Sienna Parish in Horsham (afternoon) before returning to Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary
